This is proably the wrong place 2 post but i figured many pple here would be doing it. How's everyone's preparation going, I am pretty nervous lol...GL to everyone doing it (hope there isnt 2 many type II's)...

I'm doing UMAT as well. U can't really study for it because of the type of questions so i havn't done any preparation. Anyway - where can u get practise questions without having to pay for them?

The main thing which worries me about it is that it's sandwiched in between 4U maths on tuesday and english paper 2 on thursday for me. I'm too variable in performance to know how I'll do on the UMAT, so I'll just hope for a test that treats me well I geuss.

hey i got a question on how UMAT is structured

is it true you can't move onto a new section until the instructors tell you to do so?

Yeah^ Thats right.
And once the allotted section time is finished, you can't turn back to it, even if you have questions left and extra time from another section.

I'm having a LOT of trouble with Type II.

Does everyone have morning or afternoon exams?

is the format just like the acer umat paper u buy from them, only double?
or does it also have like comprehension and logic game questions. i know past UMAT papers did. if we do, im screwd!!!!
oh well, im screwed anyway!

to me, section 1 is more like "comprehension" instead of logic

im crap at section II..

section III is good, section I is good too but makes my head hurt from all the reading and analyzing.

but section II, fucking shit as...
seems so easy. Everyone would relatively be getting around the same mark in section II.

I dont do very well... no emotional IQ haha.

BTW it says u cant go back sections, but u have all the sections in ur hand cant u just flip backwards, only in trouble if examiners notice...

there are shapes on top of every page for every section, so an examiner would be able to spot the person doing the wrong section easily?

no secret u just look...

basicly a good score will be like 19/20 for the pattern section and 7/10 for the shapes so 26/30 is pretty good i think.

btw do you turn the paper around? visuallise things? blur your vision abit? place it close to you or a bit far away??? help!!!

In the upper right corner of most pages you should see a large symbol. Examiners use that to tell what section you're on from distance (i.e. if everyone has a circle and you happen to have a triangle, then you're screwed) so if you're going to do that then make sure to cover up the symbol.
