unable to click start menu (1 Viewer)

my comp will start up as normal
but will not allow me to click on the start menu or naything on the taskbar instead the hourglass is shown

have tried opening stuff on desktop will not open eitheir

Hm, you may have something running in the background chewing up resources. Can you get into folders ok? That is to say, would you be able to run a program?

If you could do a scan, and post a log, we could take a look for you

When you are logged in, press, "Alt + Ctrl + Del", Which opens Windows Task Manager, view "Processes" and you will see a list of 'running tasks'.

If you can:

Take a screen shot of all the tasks that are running and post it here please, or just write all the running tasks down, and post them.
