and in the case of Transformations, the statement does make sense
well the question should ask you to "apply your knowledge of the module in relations to that statement"

ummm... you should've used the question as your thesis or something then agree with it or disagree with it... Personally, I don't think it was an unfair assessment Cause Statements are suppposed to be agreed wit or disagreed with...
