Unito Caro help...

Does anyone know when the concept of Uni Caro (where when married a women and man are seen as one) was abolished??

I need this to know when the rights of women were acknowledged which made them able to say they were sexually assaulted in a marriage.....

Unito Caro - "one flesh"

Well, the Married Women's Property Act (1893) NSW gave them the right to own, trade, etc property. So basically, that destroyed unito caro.

They can also sue each other in a marriage as separate entities after this act.

The Crimes (Sexual Assault) Amendment Act (1981) NSW made sexual assault (rape) in a marriage a crime.
