i'm confused, something new

you have hecs students and full fee paying students.

what if i want to pay the fee, ~$5000 without using the hecs system, ie interest.
so basically, am i looking to pay the fee, say annually?

HECS upfront, I assume?

If so, there would be a 25% (going down to 20%) discount on your actual HECS fee, which would be determined by the type of units that you take.

www.hecs.gov.au

Edit: Full Fees are paid annually.

I'm confused...are you talking about Full Fee Paying students, or paying HECS up front?
If you are paying HECS up front (ie-with the 25% discount), you pay it per semester.
As for full fee students...I dunno what they do.

HECS upfront is just paying for your HECS each semester rather than having it deferred to the tax system.

There is no interest... There is only a discount for paying upfront (25% going to 20%) and for making direct payments at the tax office (15% to 10%). Not paying it upfront delivers no penalty at all, apart from the fact that you are taxed until it is repaid.

Paying upfront is every semester.

It's usually ~$2600-2800 a semester, if u pay upfront (depending on which class your degree falls under)

nazi?
well, if u are paying upfront, and do not pay by the HECS Census date (usually a month after the start of semester), ur course will be cancelled for that semester

When main round offers come along and say I would have enough marks to get into a course by the full fee scheme, how do I apply for it?!

u have to put it down in your preferences by January 5th, remembering that u can get 1 fee offer and 1 HECS offer at the same time
