Ignore him, hes just trying to scared you. But uni is completely different than HS, you aren't spoon fed, your expected to do everything on your own and the marking is hard.

Don't be scared about the environment. The people at UWS are really nice. It will take a few days for your to adjust to the surroundings, but once you get used to it, you will be fine :)

I have never used a textbook during a lecture. And i usually don't have to take one to uni either.

What subjects are you doing Ally??? If you click timetable on pweb ... that will give you a detailed list of days and times.
ok well the autumn ones say (in this order): Tourism Systems, Environments in context:tourism, Indigenous Australia, Understanding Landscape

so with each of the topics do we stay on it for a certain number of weeks? or are we doing it all at once....

Each subject will teach you different things. For example, obviously the indigenous one looks at aboriginals while the tourism system subject will look more closely in detail about the tourism system.

Each week you do a different topic in each subject - some weeks you may find that they particulary overlap - especially tourism systems.

Thinking about dropping out, public transport takes like 2hrs from uni, to home, and leaves little time for doing uni work

Don't drop out. Sure, public transport can be a huge pain in the ass sometimes, but learn to use public transport to do work, not just sleeping and socialising. If you can do readings and handwrite ideas or drafts for assignments, it will leave you with more time at home. You just need to manage your time.
