I here the UQ colleges are good, I don't know about sport participation but most colleges like you to participate.
Drinking is nearly a must but you can get away if you seriously aren't - but you may get converted like myself.
I think you've chosen one of the better and more conservative UQ colleges so you may not be able to muck up as much.
Remember to bring a computer with a network card as UQ has an amazing college network (full of ripped movies/music etc).
I don't think there's really that much 'groups' as there was in school as people seem more similar or have left their older ways to some degree but of course you still have the big ones, like the geeks, footies and beautiful girls, but there's more (and probably the majority) of the normal crowd.

yep you will love living at college. However, from my experience there can be the bitchy rivalries in college that used to happen in highschool- but as keen said most ppl are just nrmal and you will be able to gte along with people really well. Also, you will find that at college there are more of your people, ie. people who actually have brains and are there because they want to be unlike at school whre there are alot of morons who are only doing yr 12 because their parents forced them to.

Be warned though...
If u want to study heaps college is probably not the best place for you!

Ah, rubbish. I'm doing med and college is brilliant there are people who study all day and night and some who barely do anything. Maybe college isn't the best place for the study freaks but I think you can study as much as you want. And even if you want to study a lot college still provides great escapes from work that are harder if you're living on your own or with a flate mate etc. Even college dinner is a great socialising point and a highlight of my day.
