My room isn't the same size as a gaol cell. It isn't as big as at home but it is still pretty large.Acid said:Name one thing I said there that isn't true...
Don't go to a self catered residence then.Don't have to cook for myself (i'm hopeless at it)
If you go to a catered residence shopping becomes so infrequent its almost insignificant.don't have to shop (i hate it)
Accommodation is subsidised... its as cheap as you're ever going to get unless you live at home for the rest of your life. If you're eligible for youth allowance you'll actually be better off living on campus.and don't have to pay many living expenses.
Or perhaps you could ask them not to do it...I can also call my friends when I want to go out, rather than have them banging on my door whenever they please
You usually have very few people sharing a bathroom. People usually care enough about each other to make sure they don't spread such things, and even if they don't the bathrooms are being just about constantly being disinfected.and don't have to use a tinnea (sp?) infested communal bathroom.
With the exception of a shared bathroom, there's little difference. Your room is more private, having a lock on it and everything. At any rate you get used to the slightly decreased privacy after a while, and if you don't care its hardly a problem.I also have some privacy
Its bigger than many of my friends' bedrooms. Finally, my room isn't the size of a jail cell.
Well, good thing I didn't move away then huh!Shuter said:That's always what you want in a psychologist...

Do you live there?pete_mate said:yes he would have, canberra is very spaced out, its barely a city
Well, circumstances are very different so I can't justly compare.Slide Rule said:How would you compare the two? Do you think the college is worth it?
I've found that the people who drill Canberra usually haven't lived here at all. While lexi pretty much said all that needs to be said, I think that college is a great way to start uni.pete_mate said:yes he would have, canberra is very spaced out, its barely a city
I'm not sure about USYD but at ANU we have a college p2p network. Everything is free, and downloads at 3mb/sec, there are usually about 7 terrabytes of data available at any one time.1Time4thePpl said:Ahhh i just realised. If i live on campus next year, i wont be able to get 80gb DSL! I live for my downloads
That sucks so bad. If I had to travel using only public transport it would take me 2 hours each way, and theres one day all I have is a 1 hour lecture. Fortunately for me though I can drive, and that only takes 35 minutes.tomorrows_angel said:i currently live at home cos i can't afford to move out. And i would get very homesick. But it takes me 2 hours to get to uni each day... so i spend 4 hours on public transport for 2 one hour lectures on one day which is very annoying. But i know there are people who live further out than me...
I concur .neo_o said:it truly is an amazing feeling living away from home.
