guys genuinely is anyone else in the same spot that im in i have no clue what i want to do because i feel like i wont be good enough for anything ARGHHHH and lowkey panicking......
im considering doing geology/environmental/earth science, nursing, hr, biomed or maybe something in IT (i literally have no experience but theres a lot of money in it and i wouldn't mind learning)

im mostly worried about money honestly i want to be able to afford to stay in sydney :(( (not that other places are bad i just want to stay around my family)
if it wasnt an issue id choose nursing but it usually caps off at like 140k per year and thats not bad but like i dont know,,, and the stress to pay ratio is tough to say the least from what ive heard

have a wonderful evening everyone :angel::angel::angel::angel::angel:

No prior knowledge is needed for most degrees, although having some knowledge can be helpful.

IT has a lot of potential. I recommend taking an introductory course on Udemy or Coursera on programming after the HSC.

I recommend Frank Metropolis C++ course on Udemy to get started. Also a Python Data science course such by Jose Portilla also on Udemy.

Find a balance in things that:
1. you enjoy/are interested in
2. gives you purpose when you become employed
3. makes money
140k/yr is not a bad salary but be careful since the figures can be deceiving as nurses work a crap ton of hours

yeah, you gotta work really hard to earn that much as a nurse (which is why its a bit of a turn off for me, not that I'm opposed to hard work itd just be a lot of weekends, night shifts, etc.)

if it's any consolation you WILL figure it out, if not in year 12 then at one point lol

like it took me my whole undergrad (that's 2-3 years post high school) to know where my passion actually is which was a huge risk to take but it worked out so 🙏🏽🙏🏽

just think everything through, weigh your options and go for something, chances are you will have picked the right thing for YOU but if not, you'll realise soon enough and have the opportunity to switch paths

out of the fields u listed geology is probably the best if u only care about money
art and writing are the big ones (literal curse)
obv I'm really interested in science but studying biology wouldn't take me anywhere (chem is out of the question, I really can't do it ahh)
geology would be interesting but I still don't know if I can see myself doing that AHHHH theres just so many possibilities and options 😭
