I had a couple that were released already so in my case I could calculate pretty much everything (including relative differences lol)

You won't so you'll need to backtrack what you got pre-final and then work out from there.

Hard to, because extent of scaling is also an unknown

Some LIC do send your final exam marks otherwise yes need to use your pre-final marks to calculate it. Problem is you may not know whether scaling was applied to your mark.
