hi there

i don't know if this has been posted before, but it's an awesome program and takes all the headaches out of working out a timetable for you. it determines all the possible combinations of classes, and then you can sort by the number of days off, maximum sleep in time, etc to find the perfect timetable.

a big thank you to all the CSE students who put this together -- it's awesome!!

One of the guys who wrote this program was my tutor this semester. They've replaced large parts of it I think, rewritten it to be faster. Some of the sorting options don't work yet, but they should nearer to semester.

it was working pretty well for me this morning. it's been around for a year or two, but it looks like they've updated it to scrape all undergraduate subjects, not just maths/comp/elec

haha yeh ive seen it before but for those who have degrees that have a lot less hours then it might not be the best of ideas.

however for degrees that have a lot more hours like engineering and science, it should be quite good. for business for e.g. then its better to diy.

回复: UNSW auto timetabling program

MATH2019 - Engineering Mathematics 2E
MMAN2700 - Thermodynamics
LING2551 - Contemporary English Grammar
ARTS1690 - The Structure of Language

One mathematics, one mechanical engineering and two linguistics subjects later and I still can't get a single day off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I shouldn't blame the timetable makers anyway.

Re: 回复: UNSW auto timetabling program

they haven't gotten the information for s1 2009 yet. UNSW now gives them direct access to the data. Before they had to scan and parse the website for the information
