heya, I am a third year BIT student :)) Overall it's been great, about to take on my last placement in like 1 month! I think you guys will have a much better time than us third years (we had most of our classes online past two years because of covid) with things getting slightly better.

I can't really say about BIS but usually there are about 20-30 people in the BIT cohort which is good because you'll get loads of chances to get familiar with each other, go to class and even work together (some sponsors take on more than one student a time). I would say the BIT degree slightly differs in the sense that you can sub major in different things (software dev, UX/UI, cybersecurity). So I guess if you had an interest in any other fields of tech this is good !

Might help more to know what you have trouble deciding with....
I also made a post in some other thread which could be of use
Hope that slightly helped! If you have any more questions just msg!

Thank you very much.ive read your post in other thread and wonder if you can please tell more about the process of choosing sponsor companies? Who made the decision and what the main factors to make that decision? If I would like to take ABC company as my 1st or 2nd intern, how could I secure it?

Before each placement you are given a preference form where you rank which places you'd like to work at. How they decide where you go is kind of hidden from us BIT students as well. But they always try to make sure it's fair and aligns best to your interest.
