So I'm gonna be doing Finance and Quantitative Risk this year in BCom/BSc, and in my recommended study plan it recommends FINS1612 in semester one. Since I only received permission from the Dean to do Quant Risk today, I found out that FINS1612 is pretty much full. Is it advisable to do FINS1613 in semester 1 instead? And then do FINS1612 in semester 2? Or should I just take ECON1101 this semester and worry about both FINS next semester?

Email the faculty maybe? They might put you in if you explain the situation etc.

doesn't really matter about the plan, its just suggested, as long as you can still finish all the same subjects they want you to do in first year, it'll be alright.
