Well yeah having the second best or very best (I think Monash is ranked higher) engineering faculty in the country is pretty good

I don't really care for the other faculties

To quote Solange from Casino Royale: "I'm afraid I'm not that cruel".

Still, I like my maths and want to get a doctorate in it so I can have these types of conversations with girls:

Girl: "So you're a doctor?"
Me: "Yep!"
Girl: "Wow, that's awesome. So you can like... fix me up?"
Me: "Oh no, I'm not a medical doctor - no, I have a doctorate in mathematics!"
*Girl walks away*

I could feel just like my maths teacher at his reunion! I didn't know what to say when he told me that anecdote during class. I figure the best way to empathise, is to put myself through the same situation - though he got a laugh from it.

As a bonus, I'll get a cool anecdote to tell - which I too will get a laugh from!

For now...

I might do Stats for the job and then Pure later-on because I like the complexities and joys of the theoretical side of things, and then maybe Applied because I like the idea of modelling real world phenomena into neat equations.

They aren't neat
