Q) Where is the exam timetable?
You can view a personalised provisional exam timetable in the "My Student Profile" section of myUNSW.

Q) I have a YYY exam on at XXX. Where is XXX?
A) The university exams are held either in the university, or at Randwick Racecourse. There's a number of function rooms in Randwick Racecourse that can hold entire classes. There is a map at the Examinations Unit website detailing the location of the function rooms at Randwick Racecourse.

Q) How can I get to Randwick Racecourse?

Catch the 339, 372, 374, 376 from stand C in Eddy Avenue
OR
373 from Circular Quay, via Elizabeth St. and Taylors Square
(get off at first stop on Alson Road on Doncaster Ave).
In the last two years, Sydney Buses have also put in express buses that go straight to Randwick Racecourse from the Central bus stops. They're clearly marked, and there'll be many people there anyway so you won't miss it.

Find the Sydney Buses timetable here

Q) How can I get from Randwick Racecourse back to uni?
The racecourse and uni are within walking distance. You have more than enough time to walk back to uni if you have an exam on. You could always catch a taxi.

Q) What happens when I'm at Randwick Racecourse?
A) The first thing you'll see is a abundance of people holding notes trying to cram it all in. Other than that, there will be people from the Examinations Unit outside each location, who will tell you when you can enter. You leave your bags outside, and as you enter, the examiners will give you a card with a seat number and letter on it. That is the seat you will sit on for the exam.

Q) What can I bring to the exam?
A) The Examinations Unit details what is allowed, not allowed, and what you must have at each exam.

As a final tip, know where you are going to be in advance and get there early. If you can spare the time, take the trip out to Randwick Racecourse and find your exam locations well before the actual exams. One too many times will you see people pondering around Randwick Racecourse looking for their location. There is no official help at Randwick Racecourse telling you what exams are where - it is up to you to know.

Good luck!
