Hi thanks for reading my first post on these forums. =P
Ok, well basically I'm starting to get pretty nervous about my med interview coming up this thursday. I'm pretty sure I will do well in the other two sections (214 Umat, and 99.85 estimate) but I was wondering if you guys know anyone who has had these two scores or higher and not gotten in because of a terrible interview? I think I'm an alright communicator, and I have the right reasons for wanting to be a doctor, but I'm just feeling soooo laid back these days- as if I've been lulled into this false sense of hope that I'll definately get into med. Gahhh- pride before a fall aye?
So basically, after that rather long rant about my terrible complacency and arrogance - are the unsw interviews that difficult? I've heard it's quite conversation like - if you just go along with the convo, and give average-ish answers that show you're a decent person, is that good enough? Or is everyone in unsw med a wonderfully passionate public speaker? I think on a scale of 10 right now, I'd give myself a possible 7-8/10 for the interview. Is that at all good enough?
If you have any words of wisdom to bring this stuck up little yr12 crashing back down to earth, they'll be greatly appreciated. =)
Thanks, and sorry about the long read. =P
