UWS only starts sending inteviews after all the applications have been recieved which is after the 28th of September.

Hmm. Yeah. I think they should apply for UWS as well if they're THAT desperate and would be heartbroken over a rejection from UNSW.

I know someone who would've killed to get into Med. --- and she didn't get in. Fate.

ram14: u realli need an interview first.. they dun usually lower the UMAT score req for the rural bonded places.. cos usually lots of ppl that are interested are in the ones they ahve picked

Yeah 150's isnt that great(realistically with that score and a very high uai you might only get into UQ, UNSW or JCU( it doesnt use umat, interstates need to get 99+), 186-7+ raw is considered high as you will meet the interview threshold for uni's like UWS, UNCLE/UNE (JMP) for standard applicants. Many interstate med schools rely on UMAT solely for interview offers such as Monash(240+), U.Adel(top150-175 umat scores), etc.

I'd strongly encourage you to look at JCU if i was in your position. All you know form your offer is that your UMAT raw mark is atleast 150, who knows you could have done alot better.

Got it at 3:01pm today (Tuesday). Hmm. I do hope they didn't send out interview offers according to current rank. Now let's just wait and see what horrible UMAT score I got. I don't feel too confident about UMAT so I'm surprised that I even got an offer. :mad1:

But wanted to ask, my predicted UAI was like 90 91 even though im pretty sure ill get higher but my deputy senior head holds a massive grudge against me so im guessing that they didnt even look at my registration of interest and hence why i probably didnt even get an offer...?

Sorry to say this but you will not even be considered for first round if your UAI estimate is less than 95. You will be considered for late round if your actual uai(Enter/Ter/IB...) and umat score meet the threshold.

Yeah, they sent out interview offers over a few days last year so thats what your friends are probably referring to. I can't be 100% sure if they'll do so this year tho...
