So I have an interview at unsw with the scores of a 99.95 ATAR and a 78 umat (standard applicant with no special entry schemes). If I do well in my interview, what do you anticipate is the likelihood of me actually getting an offer? (I dont care if bonded or unbonded).

Essentially, are a strong atar and interview sufficient to overcome the hurdle of my umat?

Thanks in advance for your help! :)

Yes it's possible (if it weren't, you wouldn't have got an interview I think haha). Good luck!

Well done! And yes it is possible. My cousin got slightly lower ATAR than yours and slightly lower UMAT than yours and also got an offer for interview through 2nd round. UNSW interviews is quite difficult as the questions can be very non-standard and fairly psychological. I know he is going to do a workshop for UNSW interviews this Sunday 17th Jan with a prep company. His friend did the same workshop last month for main round offers, and said it was very good, maybe that's why he got his offer already to do med next year. Hopefully my cousin will get in too, and best of luck to you too.

Hi throwaway12345, just wondering how you went and whether you got in? I got the same atar as you and a similar, slightly higher UMAT and didn't apply last year, but now I've decided to try again and resit the UMAT. thanks! :)
