enrolled last week and was giving all the user login, email and all. Do we have to keep the email they gave us, such as dcp234 (our initials and random numbers) or can we change our address to something different?

Nope you can't change it.

Are you really going to use it that much anyway. I would think most people already have an email that they don't want to change.

I didn't use it much during first year but i find that i now use it for most things.

I use mine mostly for admin purposes and abusing tutors and lecturers after the refuse to give you help with your assessment for stupid reasons like 'It was due 2 weeks ago, I'm not helping you now' and 'You should have asked these things earlier, what help do you expect on the morning before an assessment is due'.
