I'm about to finish my first semester of a Law/Arts double degree at UOW. At UOW the first year of the double degree is only law subjects, and my average is around 70%. I don't enjoy studying law though and don't see myself enjoying being a lawyer, so I'm looking to transfer into Arts/Education at another university, somewhere like Notre Dame, ACU or UNSW.
My final law exams are in a few days and weigh 60%, so I'm worried if I fail them I'll fail courses and won't be accepted to transfer anywhere. On the Notre Dame website it says to transfer into Bachelor of Education (Secondary) & Arts:
"Admission Requirements:
School Leavers:
ATAR of 70 – Indicative only. Must have been obtained
within the last five years.
Post School Leaver / Mature Age Applicants:
Other University Studies – Notre Dame will also consider
applicants who have successfully completed a minimum of
eight units with a CREDIT AVERAGE within a Bachelor’s Degree
from Notre Dame or another University."
I got an 84 ATAR last year, with bonus points it'd be 90, but if I don't have a credit average in the law subjects I'm studying, would they still reject me? Is there a way around this? Please help.
