OK!! I got a interview tommorow at Para, AND i am completely lost....

What will they be asking me???

Why is it called a group interview???

What things should i do to have a higher chance of getting the job eg. presentation etc... etc...????

Have you been through this??? What are the chances of getting a job??? How do you prove yourself???

After this group interview phase, what's next???

Is at Paramatta, Coles Myer group interview is a huge interview i think... erk nevermind i throughly know what they will ask they are going to test me with these examinations...

I mean, everyone else in my group was like *yak yak yak yak yak...* continuously and I barely got a word in

Guess shyness doesn't prevent you from getting employed after all

I only passed the group interview stage
now they're "looking for a suitable position" based on my preferences
prolly still a 1 on 1 interview with manager after that

My group interview only involved sitting in a big room and being told about what they were looking for. Then you went into another room and had like a 1 min personal interview where they asked you how you'd help a customer.
Line manager interview was so weird, the manager seemed more nervous than I was!
But good luck guys, from my experience working at Kmart is fun!

Damn! That is so much LESS nerve wrecking talking one on one. I had to introduce myself to a group of 8 with 15 others around me in other groups with 4 recruitment staff around the room. Talk about nerve wrecking i've stuffed this part but tried to cover up in other parts.

in a group because you do things as a group, they are seeing how you interact with people in a group situation

i had to:
1. talk to someone near me and then tell the group what they told me
2. do a puzzle as a group
3. devise a marketing strategy for a particular toy with the group

when you get there there will be about 50 people or more. you get divided into groups of 6 and sit around smaller tables and do the activites above. you will have someone watching you and what you do and writing comments on where they think you will be suitable.

You have to do a online assessment of various question.

To those who are employed by Colesmyer: How do you ask for a transfer ??? i want a transfer out of Coles to another store closer to home.

If you want a formal internal transfer it can only be to another coles (as opposed to any colesmyer store), to do it just ask your manager and they should know the process.
