hey guys my brain just blew up and i forgot how to do this: factorise

hey guys my brain just blew up and i forgot how to do this: factorise

25y - y^3
Take a y out the front as it is common to both...

So y(25 - y^2)

Now we now in the brackets is (5 - y)(5 + y) - using difference of two squares.

So the answer is y(5 -y)(5 + y)... :D


(Awe, I was beaten to it...)

Going from 25 - y^2 to (5-y)(5+y) is using difference of two squares (just to let the OP know)
