hi, everybody
i'm a uni student from Asia. i urgently wanna know the official BBS, forum or something where most students in Macquarie Uni go and talk there. it seems that THIS forum is subordinated to the Bored of Studies rather than the officail one.
i need a help

the best i can find are individual course forums, club forums, #macuni @ austnet, and this.

but that forum is a bit dead

well, i really wanna make friends with someone who is studying in Macquarie University, especially in the department of Applied Finance, freshman or sophomore whatever. It would be better if it is a girl. Cuz an important friend has gone to this department for her teritiary study and i really, really worry about her, her life round there, everything.
If someone is kind enough to help me , i would appreciate it very much.

my friend does applied finance, but he is a guy

its not so much what her degree and u find other ppl that matches it

cos u get be doing similiar units and that ur not doing applied finaince so just say what particular units she is undertaking or will be undertaking and we can try help from there

if she wants more friend, i am more than happy

i don't quite understand what u mean by " unit she's undertaking". Does that refer to the student dormitory building or something like that? or refer to which class she is in?
Sorry i don't know quite well about the concrete situation about her there. She is a international student, a chinese girl, from the city of Shanghai. She's gone to Sydney for only a week. I think she wanna make new friends and i want someone kind enough to take care of her ,for me.

how many classes in the department of Applied Finance? she's a freshman. I don't think there are too many classes in the same department for freshman, especially internantional student, with a asian face, which means it is supposed to be easy to fink her.

sorry, maybe i didn't express it clearly. She arrived at Mac Uni a week ago and she's gonna spend three years or maybe more here, studying in the department of AF
