a general question, does anyone know, is google just for oz or also for other countries? i have wondered about this because they talk about it in american movies, but when i type google.com it brings me to .com.au

google can tell what country your from by your ip address, which is allocated geographically (i think australia is 203.*.*.* and 208.*.*.* or similar).
