Hey guys!

Okay, I'm freaking out. I completed my society exam on Friday, but I feel like I will leave with a raw mark of only 70-80 because I found the questions were a bit hard for my topics.

Here's the deal:

- I am ranking first in a 450ish school
- I have an assessment mark of 98-99 (I have to verify this).
- My PIP is estimated to become a band 6 and it is likely to win an award this year.

If I do receive a mark of a 70-80, what will roughly be my final mark? 2nd place is at least 7-10 marks behind me.

Thanks.

I really hope so. A student in my cohort claimed she done very well in it.

Honestly if you're only aiming for 82.4 I think you've already made it regardless; did you check atar calculators with the estimated raw exam marks?

EDIT: Wait a minute, I thought you said you were first for everything, I guess I gotta take that back, check atar calculators and ask your teachers for an estimate if you want

I'm first for all my subjects expect maths but that isn't counted anyway. I have checked with the calc and it did give me a rough estimate. I'm just scared I won't state rank. Anyways, thanks!

So if I have an assessment mark of 98-99, I'm 1st and I get an exam mark of 78-85 roughly what will be my final mark?

Bumped this again because I'm freaking out and need assurance.

Your assessment mark isn't your school marks

Using your rank, everyone's exam marks in your cohort and the spaces between the ranks, they'll determine your assessment mark.

Your school marks are just an indication to determine the ranks.
If you get 100% in all of your school assessments that's good for you, but it doesn't mean that your assessment mark will be 100. It could be 95 or 90 or even 85.

If you don't state rank it's not the end of the world, state ranking is literally 15 minutes of fame. And you have to remember that even though you think you did shit in an exam, it doesn't mean that you did. I remember for bio I knew that I screwed up half my MC questions and a lot of my option topic and I was anticipating a band 4. However I ended up going a lot better than I expected.

You'll be fine :)
