But I agree with you. For forums like this one, there;s a lot to be said for self-regulation. Mods are around, and BoS rules are pretty good.

I would disagree with you. BoS is filled with an uncomfortably large population of AOL sp33kers and trolls. Not to mention the many completely worthless topics in NS.

BoS is essentially good. Highly offensive/inflammatory material doesnt get through. Threads about what you had for breakfeast are ultimatly harmless and usually ignored by people who would otherwise get annoyed by them.
Having said that, I couldnt help noticing the last few harmless posts vanishing... anyway - Hooray for censorship.

I too miss the passion of ncap. A lethal combination of teen angst/deadlines/hsc and genuine beliefs. Arguments now largely involve pussyfooting and Chamberlainesque appeasment. Although the main tactic is to just not bother.
Anyway, im sure that the rennaisance last year had something to do with the election.

Hopefully when uni exam/hsc pressure eases people will be driven back by boredom if nothing else.
