Paul's "3rd place" is the same 8 or so % of nutters he gets behind him every year. I don't think I'm challenging public opinion either when I say that the idea of the GOP nominating a black man is too hard for me to get my head around. Romney is the one to beat now and they aren't going to rally around Cain as "the alternative candidate."

ATM in terms of % of votes on AVERAGE paul gets in high teens low 20's, cain now is secured in the 20's and sometimes 30's depending on the poll, Romney is the 30's with sometimes being in the 20's, again dependent on which poll you look at
