Hi,

I am enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts at sydney uni. If I want to do a double major, can I do it in 3 years if I organise my subjects right, or will it take more time to do a double major?

^ Yes - just make sure the units you study in first year will give you access to study intermediate/advance (second and third year) units. So long you look at the required unit completion for each major and complete those units - plus you can do Summer/Winter School if you don't have the time to overload on units if needed.

if you plan ahead you can easily do two majors. for a major in most arts subjects it is just 36 senior credit points.

which will then leave you with 4 "free" units for your final 2 years.

though keep an eye out on requirements to do honours in certain subjects. i know if you want to do film studies honours you have to have taken 48 senior credit points.
