Hi All,

I am currently taking my HSC (graduating 2024) and I plan to take Comm/Law (Majoring in finance) at USYD starting 2025 (As it stands there is a very high chance I will have the marks to get in). I do not take legal/eco/business and I would like to know how much I need to know about finance/law before I start my degree - and how I can learn what I need to know in between now and the beginning of uni.

u dont need anything for law school - legal doesnt help - idk about ecos and com though

I graduated from USYD Commerce 5 years ago. Basically, eco and business studies in high school give you some background knowledge for first-year subjects. Hope that helps.

what level of maths is needed at maximum? 2u? 3u?

2u minimum. 3u or even 4u will be helpful especially if you major in Business Analytics.
