if the mail came directly from usyd then it just means you didnt qualify for the scheme at usyd. You can still get other offers from other unis you applied to

I got my letter from usyd today.

It just says that although my Broadway Scheme application was successful, it doesn't guarantee a place in any of the courses I applied for. If other Broadway scheme applicants applying for the same course have a higher UAI, they'll be given a place in the course before me.

no EAS is for people who have trouble in there life during hsc be it illness or a death in the family etc...

me personally.. i was very ill was was hospitalised twice!! over a 7 month period (which meant i missed 70 - 80 days of school) due to illness throught no fault of my own

so that is more than i little problem during my hsc - some people are BLUDGERS but the system is for real cases and is not a total wank to have in place but i do HATE people that dont need it and use it!

and yes i received that letter of acceptance from sydney - still doesnt mean ull get in though because places are limited at ALL universities!

Nah, EAS was meant to be fair to those who really needed it--very inspiring, jessiej87--but as with all such things, people will always try and take advantage of it in the wrong way. This is life, so we're gonna have to live with it.

Did you go through the HSC with a learning diability that rendered any time spent in class effectively useless? No?

EDIT: On top of that I had my sister attempt suicide on the morning of my first exam in first semester. I didn't know if she was alive or dead for the duration of that exam.
