30 hours (in a good week) - 35 (in a hellish week)
work 8 hours every sunday and casually for 1-2 hours every couple of weeks at uni. I also answer student e-mails on the side (whenever i can fit it in).
I also spend 12-15 hours a week sitting (or more usually, standing) on a train.

but i reckon the busier you are the more you get done. But i did sleep in this morning, that was nice.

Does the vet timetable change every week just like med students do? And 30 on a good week?! That's hellish! I was dying with 26 last semester! (though of course that could just be because I was getting used to the uni lifestyle)

Ditto, except it always puts me to sleep :/
LOL it puts me to sleep too! I always see people reading on the bus. I finally decided to put my mp3 player away and start reading, but I either end up motion-sick or asleep!

You guys spend a lot of time travelling just to get to uni!
I spend approximately 30-45 mins per day, which brings me to a grand total of 4-5 hours. I should stop complaining!

Live close huh? I'm probably going to move to Newtown or Glebe at the end of the year, I'll be able to get to uni in no time, and rent will be cheaper. It'll be tough leaving the beach though :'(

The weekly schedule of a Com/Law student:
Uni- 13 hours
Paralegal Work- 18 hours (previously 27 hours, but I cut down for more 'balance')
Drinking- As much as possible
I'm curious; how did you get paralegal work as a second year? I was under the impression that you need at least three years of legal education to work as a paralegal/clerk.

Arts/Law
13 contact hours a week

Travel time
45-60 minutes each way

Salesperson for an evil corporation
Anywhere from 5-15 hours a week

Tutor
1-2 hours a week. Cutting back now that I've discovered the scope of human stupidity.

first year agsci - 24hours
plus a maths program and an additional chem tute..
so that takes it to 27hours.

part-timer at a newsagency
mondays and saturdays - so 10 or so hours there.

geez, looking around - some people have bloated weeks..

yeah it changes every week (its somtimes like you need the 98+ UAI just to figure out the fricking timetable!!!!)

Last semester was the worst, in terms of hours and content load, i had 5 subjects and 8 exams!!!! but its over and i passed it, hurrah!

This semester is better, except there's more group work (which, as we all know, takes 3 times as long as doing the whole assignment yourself) and they decided to allocate us to "random" groups to make us be more social, so they looked at last years groups (the ones we formed ourselves) and didn't put any of those ppl together. Bastardo!

The good thing about vet though is that everyone has the same workload, so its not like your friends are going off to the beach while you are studying, they are right there in the library beside you.

Engineering - 24hrs/week
Travel - 45 minutes each way
Job - 0 ...

I get Youth Allowance so I've never needed to work, but I'll be getting a job during the holidays from now on. I don't know how some people can do 20+ hours at Uni then go and work for another 20+ hours, I'd be exhasuted.
