26th of Feb is the first day back. If you don't have classes on Monday then it's not for you.

Timetable:

French L+C: Monday 9-11, Wednesday 11-1
Physiological Systems: Wednesday 4-6, Friday 1-3
Comparative Social Change: Friday 9-12

Very empty timetable. (However, less empty than Evan :mad1: )

It could.. because it is a law subject.
Comeon Joe- answer this question =O

BTW There are 90 min lectures on monday @ 10:30AM, 1:00PM and 5:30PM. The 90 min tutorials are all spread during the day.

yes ok i can answer :)
Blethics doesn't take up that much time and energy
i enjoyed this subject
but then again im doing law
its basic compared to the proper law subjects

its enjoyable i think
textbook readings may take time
but nothing compared to what law readings take

remember its a business subject :p

i reckon u should do it

I did three subjects last semester, of which blethics was one of them (the others were accy 1 and stats).

I must admit I found blethics a complete walk in the park. Prior to the final I was sitting on like 96, however due to not studying at all for the final (which is pretty difficult due to time constraints) I ended up with a mid range distinction. In terms of time and energy, if you have done legal it will be a breeze. If you haven't, it will still be pretty easy. The lectures range from decent to okish. definately dodge the tutes - and try to present your role play early - and use the extra time for reading and notes and you will be sweet.

To be perfectly honest three subjects with full time work is not a death sentence. I still managed to go out most thurs, fri, sat and sun nights (well except for the weekend before my stats assignment was due - which is a lesson to eveyone doing stats when paul says don't leave your assignment to the weekend before its due BLOODY HELL LISTEN TO HIM OK!!) and I managed to get 3 Ds. Although I do think the subject combos you choose are importnant.

p.s. I'm a cadet (if that helps from the 'am I going to kill myself by doing three subjects' perspective)

Thanks for the responses everyone :)
I envy everyone’s timetable so far...
At present mines
Monday (6-9pm), Tuesday(6-9pm), Wednesday (6-9pm), Thursday (6-9pm)

I'm actually an Engineering student not a business one. So I haven't really touched any business type subject... so just abit curious what they are like
From the feedback I’ve been getting from people they say business is a bludge (carnage me if I’m wrong!) Less hrs, less stress! – Though, there seems to be a lot more reading...

I wasn't too sure if i wanted to do B.L.Ethics as I had my brain set on using my electives for some post grad subjects.
But anyways but if there is a lot of reading involved in the subject think I’ll have to deter.
One more question, can someone possibility give a brief rundown on a typical assignment question for this subject.. (Please no essays...!) I heard the main task for this subject is a mock trial apparently is this true??

assessment for blethics;

35% MC - 35 questions, 1 hour in a tute
15% Role Play - advertised as group work but isn't really, easy as pie
50% Final - open book final, 2 hrs, i think it had 50 MC and 3 short answers - pretty easy but harder because of the time constraint.

hey, can someone help me with this timetable builder...it seems to have too many things in it :S

I'm doing medical science, & 1st year subjects in the autumn semester are:

33116 Statistical Design and Analysis 6cp
65101 Chemistry 1C 6cp
91101 Cells, Genetics and Evolution 6cp

I put all 4 in the timetable builder...i think i've done it wrong

The reason there are so many classes in it as that it shows every possible class time for each subject. You will just be going to the one corresponding to a group number: e.g activity 15 at mon 12 - 2 and at thurs 2 - 5.

Also I think with the science subjects you're supposed to do practicals rather than tutorials, the data analysis one is also in the comp lab I think. Hence why no tutes come up.
