The 'thejosiekiller' GUESTIMATE:

A guestimate is pretty much a guess/estimate of what you think your final subject marks will be for this semester.

The word 'guestimate' was made up by thejosiekiller; who will forever be immortalised in this UTS tradition.

So whenever you like, feel free to make a guestimate on your marks. You may do this now or after your final exam =)

SPRING SEMESTER 2, 2009 RESULTS - WEDNESDAY, 16TH DECEMBER 2009:

UTS: Centrally-conducted exam dates, Student admin

A quote from jasee in 2006 (this information should apply for this semester):

I recommend logging in by 23:00 and clicking around every 5-10 minutes (anything less than that is not really needed). Don't refresh the page as it wastes resources and also sometimes logs you out. The system only allows a certain amount of people on at a time and it will give you a busy page when its full.
Results are also available via 1300 656 887, although usually not until around 9am or so.
Visit http://www.sau.uts.edu.au/exams_ass/index.html for more details.

NB: Results could be available at 5pm on the day before the official results release (via phone) on the UTS Results line.

Just go to the result page in MSA and click "Email my complete academic record", then your record in pdf will be emailed to your UTS email account. Then check "Total credit points gained", if you pass all the subjects, then all Autumn 07 credit points are added.
Now I know I pass all at least.
NB: This may work before the official results release.

Go to the Study Plan page. If the status of the subject you did in Autumn 07 is Enrolled, then you passed. If it is planned, then you failed.
My friend's one subject's status become "Planned" and the Total Credit Points Gained indicates that he got 18 cps in Autumn 07 and he enrolled 24 cps.
NB: This may work before the official results release.

I tried that, I got them to email my academic record to me and there was no change in my GPA from last semester, BUT there was a mark from a subject I took in the October session (AN: Renal and Reproductive). No other marks were available though. So if you did any subjects in the October session you should have a look :p

oh okay

i dont think the GPA would change this early but i read in other threads that it was available about few days-1 week before the official results release, which would be nice considering UTS is a bit slow on our results relative to other unis

oh and btw whats an October session, never heard of it LOL.

the October session runs for 6 weeks, from the middle of semester to the end. Similarly, in Autumn semester there is a May session. In nursing its so they can run two light subjects for half a semester each, rather than trying to stretch them out for 12 weeks.

Like you said it might be a couple of days before the official release next wednesday.

No guarantees this semester though, because you might have noticed onestopadmin had a system change.

It has updated.

I am still listed as enrolled in 1 of my 5 subjects, I am guessing that this one hasn't been marked yet (or i've failed). My GPA is now showing as 0.00 for some reason.

rofl same here, ive passed 3 and had CP added but i'm still being shown as enrolled for one of my subs and GPA says 0.0 (i am 100% sure i passed this subject as i already passed it before taking exam). is this because not all the subjects have been marked yet?

damnn, wanted to see the change in GPA so could work out grades!

Yeah, it's uploaded. Now go forth and abuse the system.

I haven't gained credit points for one of my subjects. :/
