actually i don't know anymore. Depends on the position you take at a uni. I saw physics job openings (for a lecturing position) and they were offering 70-90k per annum. This is opposed to a HS teacher who will earn up to $60k a year (i think it was after 15 years of teaching? my info is old, teacher told me this 5 years ago) and a principal earns 80-90kish?. Also an academic must hand in research papers and stuff. Whereas a school teacher could just bum off in the holidays.+Po1ntDeXt3r+ said:but academics pay is significantly better than a NSW teacher..
