Just wanted to ask all of you how medicine is like at UWS.
I'm posting this here, because for once, I want answers that aren't heavily biased toward UNSW.
I'm really not in the know, so any info at all is welcome. Stuff like:
- the student life
- extracurricular activities
-the buildings, environment
- the teachers/lecturers
- the actual hospitals
- What should I be aiming for to get in?
- any other cool stuff I'm forgetting

Also relating to the title, anything that gives UWS the edge over UNSW?

I think at UWS you get clinical experience during your very first year. From memory, the med building at UWS stood out from all the other buildings. It's new. I attended one of the lectures and it was amazing.

You should be aiming for at least 93 percentile in UMAT and 98+ ATAR.

You will have experience from different hospitals, I'm not sure about this one.

The environment there - it's quite tight knit. Everyone knows each other because as you know, there is a cap on the number of students accepted each year. I've heard this is the same in other unis for the medicine course.
