Two days ago, I was told the following is not valid:

Argument 1 {
Premise 1: psyc1011's vibe is ________
Conclusion 1: psyc1011 is a female
}

Argument 2 {
Premise 2A: vibe has no judgement
Premise 2B: Argument 1
Conclusion 2: contradiction
}

This is me dissecting what another user said or puting their words into argument-form. Call this person Z.

My goal was to highlight a contradiction: Z said vibe has no judgement but as you can see from argument 1, he judged my gender from my 'vibes' - this implies that vibes have judgement and so contradiction?

Please, anyone. This has buggest me for the past days.

What does it mean ''vibe has no judgement''?

Here is the exchange -

PSYC1011 - talking about guy clothes and recommendations

Z - "arent u a girl" (paraphrased)

PSYC1011 - "no, how did u arrive at that conclusion?"

Z - "vibe"

PSYC1011 - "pls elaborate, what kind of vibe?"

Z - "it's the vibe... of the thing
i thought you were a white chick "

PSYC1011 - "k. lol
is the vibe good or bad for a male?"

Z - "vibe has no judgement
it's just... the vibe
hence the vibe"

Hard to say due to shifty grammar etc., but I think "vibe has no judgement" was referring to that vibe being neither good nor bad, or something? I don't think it was referring to the statement that one can't judge something via vibes.

Can I ask what this is? Are you trying to analyse a casual conversation that actually happened?

This..really isn't an argument. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallacy_of_the_undistributed_middle is the closest I can get from trying to understand what you mean

alternatively, you could've just asked this Z person "what does that even mean" in private or something

I think this Z person - whoever he or she is, I think they're super outstanding just by that awesome name - meant "vibe is neither good nor bad - vibes are neutral"

I don't know what you're on about but I think the form of my argument is wrong. Contradication shouldn't be a conclusion

I didn't ask you because I thought I interpreted it correctly but thanks for reaching out to me :)
