Hi. i'm doing US intervention in the Vietnam war for my major project and was wondering whether anyone was doing a similar topic or even had a general understanding of different approaches to Vietnam war history. i haven't started my draft and drafts due in 4 weeks

My friend in my class is doing Vietnam war aswell, I forgot what her question was but she's been doing flat-out research for it and found heaps of stuff. If you want I can ask her about it.

that would be really good if you could ask for me please. just ideas of historians names because i've only got 4 historians work and even that i don't have their book, just general ideas. so if u could that would be great! thanks

she says to just look them up, all she did was look through dozens of books at uni libraries and the state library, and she found a few historians just like that. she doesn't remember their names though, but they were pretty useful.

you project is not supposed to be too overlapping with any case study or the examinable content of any other hsc or sc course, so just double check, cos theres a large portion in the JFK case study about indochina -- that might be a starting point for you particularly the historians Sorensen and Schlesinger.
(Schlesinger i think was a historian in the time of Eisenhower too, and thats when the US STARTED its intervention in Vietnam. -- but of course you knew this)

Anyone that wrote anything on Lyndon Johnson will be good re: Vietnam.
