This is what I got as von Braun's contributions.

Does anyone have anything to add or disagree with any of this

•Developed V2 rocket in World War II
•Further research on rockets developing the redston rocket
•Devised the concept of space shuttle, space station and devised first comprehensive scenario for reaching Mars (and inter-planetary travel).
•Director of NASA’s space flight program in the 50s and 60s.

von Braun most important contribution was the design of the Saturn V rocket,
which sent Americans to the moon. The Russians failed to successfully launch a similar rocket and they eventually gave up the moon race. Although retired, Saturn V remained the largest rocket Man has built so far.

If you need other info about von braun here is some stuff I had:

- Led a german team and developed the Vergeltungswaffe (V)2 Rocket which I believe was the first man-made object that reached "space" * you may need to double check on this fact though * + Used extensively with american and soviet rocket development. Example was that 300 railway carts were shipped to america full of V2 Rocket components.
- Helped launched first American satellite into space
- Helped launched first American man into space
- Helped develop the Saturn V rocket, which like said before, helped bring the Apollo spacecraft to the moon. I think specifically, this may have been he developed the first stage of the multi-stage rocket - but again, probably double check on this.
- Also some other achievements: He helped heaps of scientist surrender and move to America (including himself) when it was evident that germany was losing.
- Worked for NASA which was already kinda touched about when he was developing Saturn V.

Hope this helps.
