is this in the syllabus , i mean is it part of the dotpt: describe the methods used to purify and sanitise mass water .

I'd argue since waste water isnt our main source of water,
that we dont need to know it...
I havent seen a dotpoint related directly to treating waster
water, but i might have missed it

I'm quite sure that this dot point means treatment of water from dams, for drinking.

Sydney water does not recycle waste water for drinking.

On page 289 of Chemistry Contexts, there is a somewhat lengthy section on waste water treatment, but I have never seen a question for which this information would be relevant.

Its essentially a non issue though - the things you'd need to do to answer a q. in the exam about cleansing waste water, wouldn't be radically different, as in Biology there is a segment on it[cleansing waste water] and the techniques are mostly the same...
