i am currently doing 12 units for my hsc

chem, physics, 4u maths, english, and software design & development

my worst subject it probably english but i can't do anything about that and my next worst is computers. i also no longer find it interesting too much boring theory.

i want to drop computers because i don't like it and if those 2 units don't end up counting i think i would have wasted my time

is it too risky doing only 10 units or is it ok

thank you

i am having the exact same problem, but with physics
i dont get it, and my fav teacher retired leaving no phy teahcer in the skool, replaced by one who cant seem to get the course herself

but my yr advisor went against me dropping it coz i have a pretti decent rank still.

=\

I had 14 units, dropped Physics at rank 4, dropped IPT at rank 1. Rank does not necessarily mean you should endure a course. I now have 10 units which I enjoy, and believe I can do well in.

How are you going in your sciences and 4u maths? If you are confident that you'll do well in these other subjects, then 10 units should be fine for you. If in doubt, hold on to SDD and see how you go in your next set of assessments before making a decision.

From experience, it is always best to have a safety net of at least one unit (11 units) cause you never know what can happen in the HSC, no matter how well you are at a subject, or guess how good you will be in the end.

So my advice, it may be boring, but stick at it - the worst that can happen is it doesn't count because you fail it.
