its 99.5 becoz u get an all expenses paid exchange for 6 or 12 mnths cant remember,
obviously they would offer very few places, hence the UAI being so high

B Comm/Law

Yep

B Commerce/ B Laws is definitely the dream, at USYD

UAI REQUIRED: 99.40

ike!!!

Transferring in in the 2nd year aint easy. they base it from 50% of ure UAI and 50% from your tertiary mark. Basically you need to ACE your tertiary studies, and there are also limited places available.

B Commerce/Law @ Macquarie is about 94, thats seems realistic.

I know a few people that got from eco and comm to their respective comb. law degress and they told me that it is not actually difficult work but dedication. They all said that with 2-3 hours a night it would be almost guaranteed a distinction average if you studied right.

thats kinda reassuring
if u jus keep up the level of study that u have been doin in HSC, u'd find it easier to transfer to combined law

and yeah, thats an awsome course (International Biz) cos they pay for ur trip n everythin

gawd, after a day of lectures still dunno whether i should do acturial studies at macq. or bcom at unsw!

does any1 know why actuarial has higher uai at macq.? You'd expect unsw to be better equipped with staff etc.

because they probably take less people and plus they can set the UAI scores however they like. UAI has no relevance to how 'good' the course is, only its popularity and intake.

ok i'll rephrase the ques den, why is it so popular at macquarie?
all the jr guys ino say macq is better.
I fink its got sumfin to do with the amount of dept both uni's teach. Macq teaches part 1 and 2. But unsw says it teachers part and it's very ambiguous about part 2. It says ppl can choose whether to go on with honors to do part 2 or they can also do it part time.
Does any1 know sumfin about this?

No offence to all you people, but working with plain statistics and mathematics for the rest of my life is not exactly the most satisfying career I would want to follow. :p
