Does anyone know if their is a book or website about the working conditions/summaries of what u do/pay etc for specialists? I remember seeing a book but cant remember where...Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately salaries or conditions specific to Australia, or anywhere other than the US for that matter, have always seemed quite hard to track down. I'd be interested myself if anyone can find that info.

yeah but they are american, so its a bit different here. I was talking about exams, how hard its to get in etc. Information that is specific to australians....

well umm there are post-grad expo's from memory..
and i kno one is held at AMSA for med students during convention in july.. im goin.. only cos its got all the colleges there

yeah plus opthamologists aren't really on call all the time. However Dermatology is a pretty touchy speciality as your dealing with people's appearance. I dunno, what you guys think of rehab? I.e. no call outs, nice 8 - 4:30 days, eventhough the money aint great. But then again, we live to work? or work to live?
