p.s. when ask you to "be honest" they mean be honest if it's positive comment, and lie through your arse if you think it's hideous.

I think ultimately you tell LIES to the ones that you hate, for example:
A very close friend of yours bought a new dress, it looks aweful, you tell her it hurt her feelings but it's for her own good, and you told her cuz you care about her. And you see an ugly dress on someone you don't like, you'll tell them they look beautiful and glamourous!!
that's how the world works. so when someone tell your you look pretty and your bum look okay, don't be so flattered. Think "hey can i trust you?".
ditto :p

and cheers to all the gals who eat....

meh, my boy tells me......we both know i have a "J-Lo butt". hehehe, and its all good, but sometimes he can go little far which annoys me a bit, but i get over it. I am a "healthy eat", by that i mean i eat healthy amounts of food.....not always healthy foods, but oh well... and i much rather hav a bit of an arse than no arse at all :)

yeah i'm with MissGeorgie. I eat what i want, though it's not always good - yet most of the time is ok. What i hate is that guys tend to see women who are skinny and think that's the way everyone should be. I'm not fat, but i don't have an hourglass figure - i have fat thighs and no amount of exercise is going to take that away, some things are genetic or hereditary and you just have to accept people for the way they are. If every girl worried about not having a figure like high profile models and actresses, then the world would be one screwed up place of manic depressives. Sure, you can want to be thinner, you can work towards it, but people should be happy with the way they are - because short of starving yourself, that is the way your body is naturally formed. And if wanting to be thinner leads to a change in lifestyle and a healthier being, then that's a bonus.
Just stop trying to conform to some loser's expectations of what you should be just because someone else is like that!

veanz, i know how you feel because i had alot of the concerns you have right now, i think i still do.
i haven't had a boyfriend in my whole 17 years, i feel fat sometimes and i also have strict asian parents! XD
you can eat what you like but beware of your health. too many of KKs aren't healthy for you, having them once in a while is fine. :)
i've never flirted/approached anyone but i don't think weight is such a big issue. if you are somewhat self conscious (and i think you are, i am too, hehe), naturally you're not going to ask someone who is too large or is too skinny because it'd feel awkard with them (unless of course you've known them for a long time and now suddenly fallen for them, which isn't what you're asking).
sure, i think some thin people are beautiful, but i get sick looking at anorexic models. stick figures aren't attractive, they can be as repulsive as looking at someone overly large.
as an average girl i'd say that most girls aren't thin (they're somewhat round or in the middle) so you can't expect much. some people are skinnier than others and we have people of all sizes and shapes. just be happy with how you look.
i try to be healthy but i often forget and eat too much at dinner, i suck at all sports so i never exercise. but recently i've lost weight and i think it was because i was sick. hahahaha. just don't worry about your weight too much and you'll be fine!
as i've never been in a relationship, i can't answer you last question, but whenever i go shopping with my friends, i usually tell them the truth. though no sane guy would ever tell a girl she's fat (unless he hates her).

hopefully my opinions on the issues above will help you!
good luck and don't be bogged down by the weighty issues! :)

I agree, Tomorrows_Angel.
I'm healthy 6 days out of 7 (which equates to approx. 86% of the week), and on the seventh, i pig out on whatever i feel like having. i'm usually active too - 6 days per week, but lately due to the cold, i've become inactive (can't be bothered to get up early in the mornings no more cuz it's so cold and so dark).
I wouldn't call myself fat or skinny, and i'm not entirely happy about my body either. i dont think anyone is; most bodybuilders are constantly working towards a "better" body, even once they've hit their plateau. the truth is, everyone focuses on the negative aspects of their own body instead of the positives. that's why thighs, bum and boobs are the main concerns of many girls. it's a part of nature for us females to have more body fat than our male counterparts, so we need the extra fat around those areas to keep OUR female body functioning properly - regulate our periods, child-bearing, breast-feeding, and what have you.
Ask your friends and family members to tell you the things they like about you and let those be your affirmations. Focus on those rather than your "big bum" cuz there's no such way to rid of the "big bum" unless you commit yourself to a exercise regime which consists of regular intense exercise and proper nutrition. and no magic pill will reduce the size overnight anyway.
And who cares what everyone else thinks, really! Why spend your time conforming, being depressed and eating comfort foods? There's so much you can do if you step out of that hole!! It's a big step, but if you never step out of it, you're gonna be stuck there the rest of your life so go on, STEP!

As long as you're in the Body mass index range of *deal' then no point in fussing over weight, but if you''re more concerned about body image then tone up everyday using dumbells, push ups, sit ups etc. and evidence of krispy kremes in around a month or so will be gone!

BMI is misleading cuz you dont know how much muscle weight and fat weight your actual weight is holding. muscle is more dense than fat so you could be 60kg with more muscle than fat and appear leaner than someone who's 60kg primarily of fat.

enjoy it, cos having a boyfriend who openly calls you chubby is infinitely worse than being single

ok here are the few things i'm going to say.

1) thin is not always healthy. i don't know why people don't understand this. you can stay naturally at a bmi of 21 or however you want to measure it your entire life, but if you're smoking, drinking it up and constantly eating junk food, of course you're not healthier than someone who may have a bmi of 26 (ie technically overweight by that scale) but exercises regularly, doesn't smoke, drinks in moderation and eats healthily. i know plenty of size 10 girls who live the first lifestyle and plenty of size 14-16 girls who live the second lifestyle.

2) krispy kremes are gross :p

3) nancy, glad you dumped that asshole

4) i'm not sure exactly who said this, but it's true that there are some things you will never change REGARDLESS of exercise/diet. you can change your weight and muscle/fat ratio but you will never change the overall SHAPE of your body. i've always been bottom heavy, no matter how healthy or unhealthy or active or inactive i've been.

5) err...i forget what this one was, oh well
