hello people! oy what r u doing in here monica? anyhows, yeah how is life an all in SA alvin? i hope you are enjoying the non-uni aspects in moderation of course. What kinda funny things dd you experience in your short time there so far? I'm sure you have a couple of yarns to share. Please send my regards to Paul and Austin.

Robert; how is your UMAT preparation coming along? I wish you all the best and don\t forget to pray often as well...ask for God's guidance and if He wills for you to study medicine. Um what else, yeah I have confidence in you since you are so experienced with the UMAT now and you caned first and second section. Unfortunatrely, they dont allow a mix n match of percentiles. Oh well, just go in there and do your stuff.

Well, I'm off now- ppl come and post in the Melb forum sometime, thats where the action is lol, just like in real life *cheap shot* :D

Haha yeah the action... all those views yet no posts...

[cheap shot back at you!]

I've been watching Scrubs all day (got it off Alvin last night) and damnit, Episode 12 is corrupted! Now I need to find a way to see if I can get it quickly, since I can't watch a series with an episode missing. :( On the plus, I can get my laptop serviced next week (new screen, no more dead pixels!) so that should be good. Means I'll have no email access for a few days though. How is Melbourne anyway? Do you have like 12 heaters that look like electric fans in your room? :p

Ok ok, enough spam. Alvin, when is Adelaide Med School going to accept intervarsity NRSLs?

well, you might not believe that in the middle of winter, in melbourne, i am not using a heater!!
in my room, i just have a really thick doona and an electric blanket. In the living room runs my 2000W ceramic heater during daytime. That setup suits me just fine :D

Ceramic heater? Grossly inefficient! I have electric blanket, but I don't like using it because I fall asleep without remembering to turn it off and the bed gets too hot.

I prefer the cold anyway - I sleep with my window wide open all night.

so robert, given that you're a school leaver, which courses can and will you apply for?
another point, yes they may be inefficient, as is the case with all heaters, but my homestay includes all cept for the net so i dont care.

presently - i've dumped the notation of transferring..i was planning to try biomed at unsw but i know for a fact i won't cope well!
so, i'm going to concentrate on studying civil @uts..
this term i'm applying for full time work at the council and at other civil places... if all goes well i'm going to change and do part time..
i've been thinkng about this for quiet some time.. plus my parents have been nagging, and numberous factors that have contributed towards this decision.. i just don't want to waste time!

Wow, so much missed!

Anyway, the only NRSL taking schools are UNSW, UNCLE, UWA, UTas and UMelb. I am ineligible at UNSW (UAI too low) and UMelb is looking impossible, but chances look good at UNCLE and UWA if I get good marks. No clues yet with UTas though.

Monica, why don't you think you'll cope well in Biomedical Engineering? It's just another major, nothing to get freaked about. :) Remember part time study + full time work = dead by 35! I hope I can talk to you sometime soon, been away since Friday morning...

Oops I forgot JCU in the above post. Anyway they don't use the UMAT, so I need 1337 interview and uni marks...not likely. Still, doesn't hurt to try. :)
