we are working on trying to get a few sponsors, who knows we may be able to give out freebies at the hsc open days!

anyway.. transfering the site now looks like it may be done tonight.. it will take about 24/48hrs for the dns to change..

You guys should definitely get some sponsors, or some ads to the place to help pay for this site. Other huge student sites such as The Student Centre network all have sponsors, ads etc. Sure us users may not like it, but atleast it will cut you admins some financial slack. Heck, you guys could even make some money out of it.

Google adwords run as cost-per-click. We'd rather sell space for a fee, than hope the majority of users click on google's text ads.

lol with all the money they have put into it it may be a while before they are even, but i agree, you SHOULD make money out of it , you spend enough time here and have in the past and you are the heros of at least 10 000 students, and others so why not

Thats right! We are going to be moving servers over the weekend. We have had to source a server in America as the costs for the server in australia were just increasing beyond what we could afford. There are a few positive and negative things which come with the move

Negative
The site will be a bit slower to load but it should not be too bad.

Positive
We have A LOT more bandwidth (yay)
There will be something new which may shock you all in July/August

Anyway, when i am moving the data/server across the site will be down and you will be unable to access the forums hopefully this should not take too long.

If i can think of anythign else i will post it!

When will this move be happening,
