I got this offer (not first preference) hence I don't really know what career paths i could go into? I read its website and it mentioned becoming an economist but is it possible to become an accountant e.g. related to commerce jobs for this course? or should transfer mid-year? Does mid year transfer not count atar in unsw right?

Anyway, i would just like to know if there are other people doing this course? i dont know, it just seems there isn't any....

Hey dude, i am doing this but i am trying to transfer out into Commerce/Computer Science. I would say the jobs in commerce (such as finance) are possible. As for Accountant you need to drop the science degree and do a single eco degree and double major in eco and accounting

Essentially B.eco can be the same as commerce degree if you choose to do commerce major in your eco degree. For instance myself graduated with a single eco degree but I did double major that includes a finance major which is completely the same thing as you can get in commerce degree.

Consider lots of commerce people who also do commerce major with a eco major, this really makes two degrees nothing much different.

The difference is that with an eco degree you have to choose an eco major, thus if doing a double degree you can only major in eco and not any other commerce sub(unlike a commerce degree)

If you're thinking about being an accountant I would switch to commerce/science degree for 1/2 year and do the compulsory subs to get a feel of each subjects, after that you can still choose to major in eco/switch to eco if you're still more keen on becoming an economist, or stay and major in accounting if feel you'd like to become an accountant instead.(in which there are many specialisations)
