What are the courses needed to complete a major in economics? (1 Viewer)

This is what i thought:

- 6 core courses in first year

• ECON2101 Microeconomics 2 (6 UOC)
• ECON2102 Macroeconomics 2 (6 UOC)
• ECON2206 Introductory Econometrics (6 UOC)
• ECON2207 Econometric Methods (6 UOC)

and then 3 economics option courses from list B:

so whats the point of list A? Can a major in eco and accounting fit in B Economics?

there is no option of the options A just follow the rules/guidelines

wat u r lookin at is a single major in economics

if u want to do a double major u have to look at this:

i think u can do a double major in a BofEco...just that there r not enough electives to safisty CA/CPA requirements

Core Subjects is 36 UOC + 12 UOC (GenEd)

Economics Major 42
Accounting Major 42

CA Subjects: 30 UOC

= 162 UOC, best to email UNSW which is what I did, yet they havn't responded bah.

24 units for legal subjects (required for CA)

there are 7 courses of acct u have to do for CA:

• ACCT 1501 Accounting and Financial Management I A
• ACCT 1511 Accounting and Financial Management IB
• (these two are covered in core)

• ACCT2522 Management Accounting: Process Improvement and Innovation
• ACCT2542 Corporate Financial Reporting and Analysis
• ACCT3563 Issues in Financial Reporting and Analysis;
• ACCT3583 Stakeholder Value Management;
• ACCT3708 Auditing and Assurance Services;

....top two are covered in the core...so another 30 units are added.

for eco: micro 2, macro 2, econometrics, methods(forgot the whole name) and 2 eco options..these add to 36 units

12 units gen ed

altogether that is 144 units exact
