They just released it - maybe you can sneak into the bookstores and read a chapter here and there?:p
I know! But it is in hardcover! :S I'm not a fan of hardcover... so expensive and harder to read, anyway...

Dance Dance Dance is way better than Kafka on the Shore, it's probably his most balanced novel to date.

I can't :p It's one my great regrets that I picked up French instead of Japanese back in high school

But yes, I think the next Murakami novel will be out in 2010, a long way away. The next short story collection though, will be out either this month or next month on amazon :D

Edit: Make that August.

2nd Edit: According to wikipedia, his next novel, called After Dark will be released in English next year. Hopefully it's true. He's actually way more prolific than I thought.

3rd Edit: Wikipedia's so useful though. It provides a link to this handy page that has a fair few short stories and essays I hadn't read before. The Sheep Man's Christmas is a good one. The Folklore of Our Times is even better, but I'd read it a while back

Ive just read a book called 'A Million Little Pieces' by James Frey...

Currently reading 'My Friend Leonard' by James Frey- the sequel!!!

Has anyone read either?

They were supposed to be memoirs of an alcoholic/crack head in rehab, the 1st book is on Oprah's Book Club List, however, it was taken off because the author was exposed as a fake. He made the story up...

Im glad i knew it wasnt real when i read them though because some it is pretty full on
