Nineteen Eighty-Four is an excellent book.

I'm actually reading two books at the moment, because I left one at home last weekend and had to read something while I was down on the Central Coast. So now I have to finish it. :)

So, I'm reading Robert Jordan's Lord of Chaos and Crome Yellow by Aldous Huxley.

I just finished Nineteen Eighty-Four. The beginning was funny in the same dark way that I thought Animal Farm was funny, but the end was just magnificently dark, and I actually found it really frightening.

Oh, and the Ministry of Love is the best name for any organisation ever.

I'm now between books. I'm waiting for my Sean Williams books to be shipped (probably this week or next week), so I'll probably finally get around to reading The Da Vinci Code or something.

For English course: The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Heard it's a heavy book, any good?

I disliked the Great Gatsby immensely.
Probably because I hate love stories. And poetry.

Currently Reading: Homer's The Iliad

My favourite book of all time.

I mean, it's the most classic love story with the best poetic descriptions.

Decent verse like Homer's isn't poetry in the same sense as most of the absolute shite you read that calls itself poetry these days.
