I have just finished reading 'Stupid White Men' By Michael Moore. It was funny. Now I want to read 'Dude, where's my country?' by the same guy.

I'm reading 'Pride and Prejudice' at the moment. Though I can never read one book at a time...I'm also reading 'Phantom of the Opera' for the second time, as well as 'Barry Trotter and the Shameless Parody'.

I'd say Stupid White Men is worth buying, particularly if your political beliefs lean to the Left (As mine do.)

William Shakespeare-Othello, The Moor Of Venice.

Hmm..Iago is quite the bastard.

Michael Moore-Dude, Wheres My Country? (Not quite as funny as Stupid White Men, but still good.. First book I've read that refers to Godspeed You! Black Emperor as a 'rock band'..)

Now reading, for my last text of the year;
Barbara Ehrenreich & Deirdre English-For Her Own Good; 150 Years Of The Expert's Advice To Women.

Quite shocking stuff, as to be expected. Damn misogynism.

One of the many shocking (Even as the product of a patriarchal context) extracts published in 'For Her Own Good';

Women beware. You are on the brink of destruction: You have hitherto been engaged in crushing your waists; now you are attempting to cultivate your mind; You have been merely dancing all night in the foul air of the ball-room; now you are beginning to spend your mornings in study. You have been incessantly stimulating your emotions with concerts and operas, with French plays, and French novels; now you are exerting your understanding to learn Greek, and solve propositions in Euclid. Beware!! Science pronounces that the woman who studies is lost.-R.R Coleman.

Now reading;
Northrop Frye-Anatomy Of Criticism.
